The Honeyspool Story

What is Honeyspool?

Honeyspool is a sewing studio offering custom sewing and alterations, as well as a seasonal sewing club for girls which cultivates foundational sewing skills and creativity. Honeyspool will eventually go on to produce an heirloom clothing line for children.

How did Honeyspool begin?

From a young age, I was sketching clothing designs that came into my mind out of nowhere and watching my mother sew nearly anything she wanted to. Sewing since 2019 with 12 years of experience in costuming, I finally decided to follow my dreams of producing an heirloom line for babies and toddlers. When I shared my logo, I immediately received requests for custom projects and alterations. From there, the Honeyspool sewing studio was born.

What is behind the name and logo?

I once listened to a podcast episode from The Biblos Network on the subject of camels, bees, and productivity. Referencing Matthew 3:4 and Joel 2:25, Pastor Urshan urged his listeners to be creative and produce something. What he said in this episode stuck with me. I knew that when I started a sewing business, the logo would somehow incorporate bees or honey.

Adding to that, my brother is a beekeeper - I actually helped him move a hive once (something I'm unlikely to ever do again). I'm all about meaningful things, and I'm so happy to be creating a brand that honors the things of God as well as family.
